Springfield Town Center Spotlights Black-Owned Businesses, Brands
The mall is highlighting its Black-owned retailers and Black-owned brands at other stores.
SPRINGFIELD, VA — Springfield Town Center announced support Black-owned businesses and brands through a new initiative called "Support Black-Owned Brands and Businesses 365."
On the mall's website, shoppers can see Black-owned retailers, restaurants, and pop-up shops as well as brands found at other retailers. Suggestions for Black-owned restaurants in Springfield and elsewhere are also provided through Visit Fairfax.
The current Black-owned retailers at Springfield Town Center include:

- Elocuente Collections: fashion brand promoting diversity (upper level by JCPenney)
- Photo Me: professional photos for families. (lower level near the play area)
- Ethiopian Twice Boutique: Handmade clothing and accessories (upper level near Macy’s)
- Sunrise Art Studios: craft classes & events (upper level next to H&M)
Products from Black-owned and founded businesses include Ivy Park by Beyoncé at Finish Line; Fenty by Rihanna at JCPenney and Sephora; Briogeo at JCPenney and Sephora; Shani Darden Skincare at JCPenney and Sephora; several brands at DTLR; and movies, music and books by Black artists at Agape Books & Cafe, Records & Rarities and Target.
Springfield Town Center's parent company, PREIT, is working to promote Black-owned entrepreneurs and brands within its properties in eight states. It expects to host community-wide Black-Owned Business Showcases at two-thirds of PREIT properties, but there is no word yet on whether Springfield Town Center will have an event.
