Telegraph Road Closed In Groveton In October For Pipe Repairs
The Virginia Department of Transportation has issued a traffic alert for road closures that will take place in the area in October.

GROVETON – The Virginia Department of Transportation has issued a traffic alert for road closures that will take place in the area in October.
Telegraph Road (Route 611) between Old Telegraph Road just north of Tracey Court and Old Telegraph Road just south of Wilton Road will be closed to through-traffic from 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 19 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23.
The road closures are in place so work crews can replace two stormwater pipes.

Those who need to reach properties along Telegraph Road will have access to those properties, but traffic will not be allowed to go beyond the pipe replacement in either direction.
Through-traffic will be detoured via Old Telegraph road back to Telegraph Road.

Detours are as follows:
- The Parkway Northbound to Northbound Telegraph Road: The Parkway southbound, Oakwood Lane and Paulonia Road back to northbound Telegraph Road
- The Parkway Northbound to Southbound Telegraph Road: The Parkway southbound, Pakwood Lane, PUalonia Road, northbound Telegraph Road and Old Telegraph Road back to southbound Telegraph Road
- Ronson Drive/Virginia Hills Avenue/Sandlin Court/Dadson Court/Hillview Avenue to Northbound Telegraph Road: Southbound Telegraph Road and Old Telegraph Road back to northbound Telegraph Road
- Algonia Court to northbound Telegraph Road: Northbound Telegraph Road, the Parkway, Oakwood Lane and Paulonia Road back to northbound Telegraph Road
- Algonia Court to southbound Telegraph Road: Northbound Telegraph Road, the Parkway, Oakwod Lane, Paulonia Road, northbound Telegraph Road and Old Telegraph Road back to southbound Telegraph Road
