Telegraph Road Restriping Proposal To Be Discussed At Meeting
Transportation officials are seeking feedback on a proposal to add a bike lane and maintain existing travel lanes.
ROSE HILL, VA — Transportation officials are proposing restriping on a portion of Telegraph Road in Fairfax County and will hold a virtual public meeting.
The proposal concerns Telegraph Road between Mission Court and Florence Lane, an approximately 1.5-mile stretch. The Virginia Department of Transportation and Fairfax County Department of Transportation seek to widen the southbound shoulder and add a northbound bike lane where space allows. Several crosswalks would also be marked or enhanced. The two existing travel lanes and turn lanes would be maintained. The restriping changes are part of the 2021 paving schedule.
Officials will discuss the paving process and proposed striping changes at a virtual meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13. Residents can also provide feedback at the meeting or electronically through July 27.
