VIRGINIA — Wednesday marks Veterans Day, a federal holiday to honor those who have served in the military. Numerous companies will thank active duty military and veterans with free meals and other freebies and discounts on Wednesday, Nov. 11.

- BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse: On Wednesday, Nov. 11, current and former military personnel can enjoy a free entrée and Dr. Pepper beverage when they dine-in at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse. Guests must provide a valid military ID or proof of service. Entrée is limited to $14.95.
- Bob Evans: On Veterans Day, Bob Evans Restaurant is providing a comforting meal to veterans and active-duty military. Enjoy a free special menu on Nov. 11.
- Bonefish Grill: Military receive a 10 percent discount so members of the military can enjoy fresh fish specialties and hand-crafted cocktails year-round.
- California Pizza Kitchen: Veteran and active-duty guests are invited to California Pizza Kitchen to enjoy a free meal from a pre-selected menu. On Nov. 11, order your meal to go or dine-in and also receive a Bounceback, which is CPK’s way of saying “come back soon.” It’s good for one free pizza, pasta or salad with the purchase of a pizza, pasta or salad. The Bounceback is valid from Nov. 12 through Nov. 20. Veteran or active military guests must be in uniform or show military ID or other proof of service.
- Carrabba’s: All service members and first responders receive 10 percent off any visit to Carrabba’s on Veterans Day and year-round.
- Chili’s: On Veterans Day, and every day, Chili’s is grateful to our veterans and active military members. Again this year, they will be showing their gratitude with a free Veterans Day meal on Nov. 11.
- Colony Grill: Colony Grill, Clarendon’s new family-friendly tavern, which features gracious hospitality and famous “hot oil” bar-style pizzas, will offer complimentary pizza to any active, inactive, or retired members of the United States Armed Services on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 11:30 a.m. until closing.
- Cracker Barrel: On Veterans Day, in an effort to say “thank you” to the brave men and women who have served our country, Cracker Barrel wants you to enjoy a complimentary slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake when you dine with them on Nov. 11.
- Denny’s: Continuing a long-standing tradition of honoring our service men and women, Denny’s is once again offering a complimentary Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast to all active, nonactive and retired military personnel. Offer valid for dine-in from 5 a.m. until noon with valid military ID.
- Dickey’s Barbecue Pit: Veterans can stop by Dickey’s for a free Pulled Pork Classic Sandwich (must present a military ID or valid proof of service) on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
- Dunkin’: On Wednesday, Nov. 11, Dunkin’ is offering veterans and active-duty military a free donut of their choice, no purchase necessary at participating Dunkin’ restaurants.
- Famous Dave’s BBQ: Thanking veterans with a meal, all day on Nov. 11, Famous Dave’s BBQ is offering one free Georgia Chopped Pork Sandwich plus One Side to all military personnel for either dine-in, to-go or ordering online.
- Glory Days Grill: On Wednesday, Nov. 11., enjoy a free Appetizer or a Regular order of boneless or grilled boneless wings when you dine in at Glory Days Grill as a way of showing their appreciation for your service.
- Great Clips: On Nov. 11, Great Clips continues their annual Thank-a-Veteran promotion. Say “thank you” to a Veteran on Veterans Day by visiting a U.S. Great Clips salon on Veterans Day, purchasing a service and receive a free haircut card to give to a military service member you know.
- Golden Corral: On Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Golden Corral will be giving out Veterans Day free meals and a beverage to any person who has ever served in the U.S. military or is on current active duty. This includes retirees, veterans, National Guard, and reserves.
- Jiffy Lube: Offering a discount of 25% off their car care services, Jiffy Lube is proud to honor our military members’ service to our country.
- Little Caesars Pizza: On Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., all United States Armed Forces veterans and active military are invited to Little Caesars Pizza for a free lunch combo, featuring four slices of Little Caesars popular Detroit-style deep pizza and a 20-ounce Pepsi product.
- Logan’s Roadhouse: On Wednesday, Nov. 11, Logan’s Roadhouse is inviting all active duty and retired U.S. military personnel to enjoy a free meal between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. from the American Roadhouse menu at participating Logan’s Roadhouse restaurants nationwide.
- Mission Barbecue: Proudly serving those who serve, Mission Barbecue offers all veterans a free sandwich on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
- Mount Vernon: In honor of our nation’s veterans, Mount Vernon offers free admission to all active duty, former or retired military personnel on Nov. 11, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. for a special event showing.
- Mr Wash Car Wash: Mr Wash Car Wash will be giving out free Express Lava Wax Car Washes to all of those who have served or are currently serving our country in the Military.
Veterans and active duty military can stop by the seven area locations on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Nov. 8 to 11, and they will receive a free Express Lava Wax Car Wash so that Mr Wash can show their gratitude for their Military service. Mr Wash locations are in Arlington, Alexandria (2) and Falls Church in Virginia, Kensington and Silver Spring in Maryland and in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. - National Parks: There were five free entrance fee days sponsored by our nations’ National Park Service this year, and Veterans Day is the last one in 2020. There are 419 possible national park choices. Current U.S. military members and dependents in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard as well as Reserve and National Guard members can obtain a free annual National Park Pass (value $80), by showing a Common Access Card (CAC) or Military ID (Form 1173) in person at issuing facilities.
- NTB Tire & Service Centers: NTB Tire & Service Centers, a chain of automotive and tire service centers, will be honoring active duty, Reserve, veterans and first responders with special discounts and service options on Veterans Day: a conventional oil change for $18.99, get free service on flat repair, 10 percent off tires and 20 percent off services. These discounted services are available to veterans, active military and first responders every day. Discounts are extended to all active duty and Reserves members, and their spouses, of the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, National Guard and Coast Guard year-round and include offers on products and services including, but not limited to oil changes, tires, wheels and other services. Military/family can visit their local NTB Tire & Service Center and present a valid U.S. military identification at the time of purchase.
- Omaha Steaks: On Veterans Day (and year-round), Omaha Steaks offers a 10 percent military discount active-duty military, retirees, veterans, military spouses and dependents.
- Outback Steakhouse: All active and retired military will receive a free Bloomin’ Onion and Coke product at Outback Steakhouse on Wednesday, Nov. 11 in honor of Veterans Day.
- Publix: Veterans, active military personnel and their families receive 10 percent off on Veterans Day at Publix Super Markets on Nov. 11.
- Red Lobster: In honor of Veterans Day, guests with a valid military ID or proof-of-service, can receive a free appetizer or dessert from a select menu at Red Lobster on Wednesday, Nov. 11. The offer is available with valid military ID or proof of service for dine-in only.
- Red Robin: Veterans and active military who are Red Robin Royalty members will have their free Tavern Double Burger with Steak Fries offer, good from Nov. 12 through Nov. 30, automatically uploaded to their dashboard.
- Sheetz: All veterans and active-duty military personnel are invited to one of the more than 600 Sheetz locations to enjoy a free 6-inch turkey sub and a regular size fountain drink on Wednesday, Nov. 11, in honor of Veterans Day. At locations offering car washes, Sheetz will provide afree car wash to veterans and active-duty military. Military ID or proof of service must be presented to qualify.
- Starbucks: Veterans, military service members and their spouses can enjoy a free Tall Hot Brewed Coffee on Nov. 11, at participating Starbucks in honor of Veterans Day.
- Texas Roadhouse: Active, former, or retired military members can drive through Texas Roadhouse parking lots on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to receive a free dinner voucher in honor of Veterans Day. Veterans and active military can redeem their dinner vouchers in-store until June of next year. Call your local Texas Roadhouse for details.
- Via: The DC Department of For-Hire Vehicles (DFHV, The Mayor's Office of Veterans Affairs, and Via, a rideshare service, will partner to offer two free rides to all veterans anywhere in DC. Via launched the VetsRide program with the Mayor's Office of Veterans Affairs to provide veterans up to free four travel vouchers a month to take a shared ride on-demand anywhere in Via's DC service zone, which also includes Arlington and Alexandria. The free round-trip ride this Veterans Day is for all Veterans, whether or not they are part of the VetRide program. Veterans will download the Via mobile app, enter the code "VETSDAY" in the Promo Code section of the app, and book a ride.
- Wawa: Wawa, Inc., will offer a free coffee of any size to veterans, active military members and their families all day with no military ID required on Nov. 11. Wawa has more than 900 stores throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, DC and Florida.
- Yard House: Active-duty servicemembers and veterans can go to any Yard House on Wednesday, Nov. 11 and get a complimentary appetizer on Veterans Day.
- Zoe’s Kitchen: As a thank you for your service, active military and veterans can enjoy 10 percent off at Zoe’s Kitchen on Veterans Day and year-round. Military ID required.
