Friday, Sept. 2: Friday Fun
Summer Stage at Reston Station – Holly Montgomery Band: Performing classics and originals, this female-fronted band will entertain. From 5 to 7 p.m. in the open air plaza atop Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station. All ages. Free. For information, call 703-476-4500.

Saturday, Sept. 3: Singing the Blues
Lake Anne Jazz and Blues Festival: Enjoy an afternoon and evening of jazz and blues on the lake. From 1 to 8 p.m. at Lake Anne Plaza. Free. For information, call703-476-4500.

Sunday, Sept. 4: Milling Around
Grinding Demonstrations: See 19th-century technology at work. The miller will be grinding, conditions permitting, from noon to 3 p.m. at Colvin Run Mill. $7/adult, $6/student 16 and older with ID, and $5/child or senior; pay at site. No reservations required. For information, call 703-759-2771.

Northern Virginia Carvers: The wood carvers lend their tools and expertise to uncover your hidden artistic talent as you create a creature from a block of wood. Aromat Yoga for the Back: Individually, yoga and essential oils each restore and balance the body and mind. This workshop series combines yoga and aromatic essential oils to detox, energize, relax and recharge body energy. From 1 to 3 p.m. in Building W11 of the Workhouse Arts Center.
