Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Northern Virginia
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory that goes into effect at midnight for the DC metro area.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory Friday afternoon, which goes into effect at midnight until 6 p.m. Saturday for the DC metro area. The Advisory calls for snow, sleet and freezing rain. The weather service is calling for snow accumulations of up to 1 inch along with a trace of ice.
The Advisory includes the District of Columbia, Prince William County, Manassas, Manassas Park, Fairfax County, Arlington County, Falls Church, Alexandria and Loudoun County.
Impacts include icy patches on roads and bridges, making travel difficult, according to the weather service. Temperatures will be in the lower 30s. The weather service warns that roads will be slippery, with limited visibility.
