Woman Shot In Franconia Area Carjacking: Police

Police are seeking a suspect that fled in a stolen vehicle.

FRANCONIA, VA — A woman was shot during a carjacking Sunday in the Franconia area, according to Fairfax County Police.

The incident happened around 10:20 p.m. Sunday in the 3100 block of Franconia Road. A couple had met the suspect to sell a 2012 Mercedes Benz C250 that was listed in an online marketplace. While the suspect test drove the car with the couple, the suspect stopped the car and shot the woman multiple times. The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the suspect left the scene in a stolen vehicle. The vehicle is a 2012 black Mercedes C250 with Virginia license plate UFY-2683.
