Fire Damages Three Townhomes in Lake Ridge

More than 100 firefighters responded to fire on Mayflower Drive, according to Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Firefighters.

More than 100 firefighters responded to a fire Monday evening at 2028 Mayflower Drive in Lake Ridge, according to the Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department.

The first crews arrived at the scene reporting heavy smoke and fire from the two townhouses.

“Crews entered through the front door and attempted a knock down but were driven back by the heavy fire conditions,” according to an OWL VFD release.

Inside Nova reports that a third unit was also damaged by the fire.

Two cats were rescued from one of the townhouses, according to fire officials. American Red Cross was called and assisted the occupants with temporary housing.

The blaze is under investigation by the Prince William County Fire Marshal’s Office.

There were minor reported injuries to fire personnel. The fire response included units from Prince William County, City of Manassas, City of Manassas Park, Quantico and Fairfax.
