Lancers vs Ashland Stingrays - Swim Meet Wrap Up

On Saturday, June 21st, the Lancers journeyed southwest to the Ashland Conservancy, home of the Ashland Stingrays.  Despite Ashland's formidable size, the loyalty and continued improvements of the Lancer congregation contained the larger opponent, keeping the final score within 150 points!  With the Stingray's previous victory over Ridgewood, this Lancer accomplishment has shown that our team remains a strong competitor in the White Division, setting up a most exciting 2014 divisional contest!  Below are highlights from Saturday’s meet.

* Final Score: Lancers 2,553;  Dominion Valley 2,703

* Swimmer Attendance: 135 Lancers vs. about 180+ Stingrays

* 2 Individual Team Records were set by:

Lori Anne Madison - 8&U 25 Fly – 18.03 (previous record was 18.35, set by Lori Anne on 6/7/14)

Cameron Young - 15-18 50 Back - 29.22 (previous record was 29.53, set by Cameron Young on 6/7/14)

* 1 Relay Team Record was set by:  Mitchell Nicolai, AJ Shepard, Nathan Gibson, Kyle Thompson. Boys 9-10 Medley Relay - 1:15.56  (previous record was set on 7/25/09)

* In addition to setting a team record, Lori Anne placed #1 in the League in ALL 3 of her individual events! 

*  In addition to setting a team record, Cameron Young placed #1 in the League in his event!  #1 in 15-18 Back (29.22)
