Police: Local Woman, 69, Robbed at Tacketts Mill
Suspect flees on foot after heist in parking lot: Prince William County police.

The Prince William County police are searching for a middle-aged man who robbed a 69-year-old woman Monday afternoon at the Tacketts Mill shopping center.
No injuries were reported, police said. The suspect is described by police as a black man, between 40 and 50 years of age; he’s bald, 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds with a heavy build and dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and dark-colored pants.
Police officers responded at 6:31 p.m. to the robbery scene at the shopping center, at 2239 Tacketts Mill Drive, near the intersection of Old Bridge Road and Minnieville Road, according to a police report.

The victim, a Woodbridge resident, told police that she was walking through the shopping center’s parking lot at around 2:30 p.m. when she was approached by the suspect, an unknown man.
The man grabbed the victim’s shopping cart, containing her purse, and demanded money, the police report said. The suspect then took money from the victim before fleeing on foot.
