Westminster at Lake Ridge Names New Executive Director

Lake Ridge, Va. – Westminster at Lake Ridge, a premier senior living community located in Lake Ridge, Va. and one of three not-for-profit, faith-based, Ingleside communities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, announces the addition of Brian R. Tenney, a leader and business professional with more than 20 years of experience in the senior living industry.

“Brian Tenney has the strategic and tactical management and leadership experience needed to advance Westminster at Lake Ridge as an engaged, desirable, and thriving Life Plan Community (Continuing Care Retirement Community),” said Ingleside President and CEO Lynn O’Connor. “His impressive track record providing enhanced operations, person-centered care, customer satisfaction, and employee retention at his past companies makes him an asset to Westminster at Lake Ridge, and to our leadership team within Ingleside.”

Before joining Ingleside, Tenney was most recently the regional vice president of operations for Saber Healthcare Group in Cleveland, Ohio, where he led operations for nine skilled nursing and assisted living communities in Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida. Prior to that, he spent six years with Riverside Health System of Newport News, Va., most recently as the Executive Director of the Patriots Colony at Williamsburg, where he led operations for the 90-acre, 310 residences, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community serving primarily retired military officers. Under Tenney’s leadership, the community received the Excellence in Service Award from the National Research Corporation in both 2012 and 2014 and achieved a 5-Star Rating in 2013 from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Nursing Home Compare.

Tenney has also served in various operations and administrative positions at senior-focused skilled nursing organizations in Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee. He is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and has a Bachelor of Science in Health Policy and Administration from the Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pa.

Tenney will be responsible for overseeing the operations of Westminster at Lake Ridge to provide exceptional engaged resident services; optimal resident, family, and employee satisfaction; staff development; operational efficiency; compliance; and strong financial results.
