2 Loudoun School Buses Hit By Vehicles: LCSO
Two crashes involving school buses occurred in Purcellville on Tuesday morning, Aug. 30, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Two crashes involving school buses occurred in Purcellville on Tuesday morning, Aug. 30, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office (LCSO).
At 7:29 a.m. a Harper’s Ferry woman was driving a 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit southbound on Harper’s Ferry Road when she attempted to pass a moving Loudoun County Public School bus.
As the driver of the Volkswagen passed the bus she made contact with the driver side front wheel. She then traveled up an embankment where she struck a tree.

The driver of the Volkswagen was checked out by rescue personnel at the scene and she declined further medical treatment.

charged with reckless driving.
At 7:51 a.m., a school bus travelling west bound on Williams Gap Road was struck by a small vehicle travelling the opposite direction.
The school bus was not carrying any children.
The driver of the small car was charged, according to the LCSO.
