Loudoun County Animal Services is hosting a fee-waived adoption event on Friday before the shelter shifts from Waterford to Leesburg.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — The Loudoun County animal shelter is hosting a fee-waived adoption event on Friday, July 9 in Waterford. Friday's adoption will commemorate the shelter's final event before shifting its operations to a Leesburg location at the end of July.
Friday's event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Waterford animal services building at 39820 Charles Town Pike. "From cats and dogs, to rabbits, chinchillas, turtles, guinea pigs, there will be no fee to adopt," the animal shelter said. "Help us find homes for all of the animals in our care before our big move."
Adopters at Friday's event must be at least 18 years old and will need photo ID. Still, in most cases, families can bring their new pet home on the same day, according to the animal shelter.
