LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA – Barnhouse Brewery, located in Lucketts, has expanded its brewhouse in order to produce more craft beer options, according to a Barnhouse Brewery announcement. Established in 2011, Barnhouse Brewery, a Virginia farm brewery, opened the doors to its new production brewery and tasting room in May 2016.

“The completion of the brewhouse expansion will allow us to provide a continuous rotation of craft beers to the tasting room, but most of all I am excited about the ability this new brewhouse will give us to brew lager style craft beers that we could not do with the prior brewhouse,” said co-owner and brew master Roger Knoell.

The completion of the brewhouse expansion will also allow Barnhouse Brewery to begin distributing craft beer to local restaurants in the first quarter of 2017.

“We are ready to start distributing in the local marketplace and the new brewhouse will make this possible. We have started conversations with many local establishments and distributors and the demand for our products is exciting. We plan to meet this demand by beginning distribution with four of our most popular beer styles,” said co-owner and business manager Rob Larrick.

As a Virginia farm brewery, Barnhouse Brewery says it strives to be environmentally-friendly and to utilize “green” practices whenever possible.

“The new brewhouse will not only quadruple our brewing capacity, but it will also reduce our environmental footprint. We will utilize less water, generate less waste, and consume less energy resources than we did with the prior brewhouse,” Knoell added.
