Chesterbrook Academy Preschool Students Donate Food and Toys

Students at Chesterbook Academy Preschool in Aldie held a gift drive for Toys for Tots and a food drive for Dulles South Food Pantry

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Aldie recently donated more than 50 gifts for Toys for Tots, a gift drive run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, as well as more than 230 pounds of food for Dulles South Food Pantry. Throughout December, students worked together to collect the items to benefit local children in need. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others and giving back to the community, especially during the holiday season.

Toys for Tots, a 70-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each holiday season. The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by Marines and volunteers offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime.

Dulles South Food Pantry is a multi-faith food pantry that provides nutritious food, personal supplies and other services to those in need in the Dulles South area.
