LEESBURG, VA — The new Chick-fil-A restaurant in the Lansdowne area of Leesburg attracted more than 300 people to its grand opening Thursday morning. The restaurant's fans, who arrived in the early morning hours, braved the cold temperatures to get a chance to win free Chick-fil-A for a year.

The operator of the new Chick-fil-A, Braden Dollar, awarded 100 winners just before 7 a.m. Thursday. Dollar's father celebrated the opening of the restaurant by being his son's first customer. The restaurant, located at 19313 Front St., is its second location in Leesburg and the 32nd location within 25 miles of Leesburg. The other Leesburg Chick-fil-A is located at 1002 Edwards Ferry Rd. NE.

The Lansdowne Town Center Chick-fil-A features double-ordering drive-thru lanes merging into a single payment lane to increase the speed of about 200 cars through the drive-thru in an hour. The inside will seat 114 people and have an indoor children's playground.
