Fatal Crash in Leesburg: LCSO
A Pennsylvania man lost his life in a two vehicle crash on Route 7 eastbound near Route 9 in Leesburg on Nov. 1.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A Pennsylvania man lost his life in a two vehicle crash on Route 7 eastbound near Route 9 in Leesburg on Nov. 1 at about 12:52 p.m., according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office (LCSO).
Deputies say that the victim, Steven Snead, 44, of Pennsylvania, was pulled over on the right shoulder of Route 7 when his 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee was struck from behind by an eastbound driver who was driving a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. Snead was thrown from his vehicle and lost his life at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep Wrangler was taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. LCSO Crash Reconstruction Investigators will review the results of the investigation with the Loudoun County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office to determine any possible charges, according to the LCSO.
