First Annual Sweet Jazz & Wine Festival October 6th in Leesburg

The first annual Sweet Jazz & Wine Festival is coming up on October 6th at Tarara Winery, organized by renowned jazz vocalist Tracy Hamlin.

The first annual Sweet Jazz & Wine Festival is preparing for a full day of dynamite jazz music, delicious wine samples, delectable food from area food trucks, and a gorgeous fall day in Virginia’s wine country. The inaugural festival will take place October 6, 2018 at Tarara Winery in Leesburg from 2pm – 8pm. Gates open at 1pm.

Local jazz band agmité has been chosen to perform at the opening of the festival. Two of the three musicians in agmité hail from Loudoun county: Aggie Brown III (drummer) from Severn MD, Michael Preston (bass) from Lovettsville VA; and Ted Gallegos (keys) from Middleburg VA. They will be sharing the stage with internationally renowned saxophonist Gerald Albright, pianist Alex Bugnon, trumpeter Cindy Bradley and vocalist Tracy Hamlin. Ticket information can be found at www.sweetjazzfest.com.

“agmité is an exciting new group on the jazz scene and we are thrilled to be providing them with the opportunity of a lifetime to perform at the Sweet Jazz & Wine Festival,” said event producer Hamlin, an accomplished and internationally known performer. “Visitors are going to be blown away with the level of talent in such a beautiful setting - Virginia’s wine country. Jazz lovers are not going to want to miss this!”
