Football: Huskies Hang On, While Raiders Fall in Playoffs
Tuscarora plays at home Friday against North Stafford Wolverines.
The Tuscarora Huskies fought off a late serge by the Mount Vernon Majors for a 35-27 win and a spot in the next round of the playoffs Friday night in Leesburg.
The victory keeps championship hopes alive for at least one Leesburg team. Tuscarora welcomes the North Stafford Wolverines to Leesburg at 7 p.m. Nov. 22.
The Wolverines of Woodgrove handed the Loudoun County Raiders a 45-7 loss in the first round this past Friday.
