The Good, the Bad & the Beautiful-Joshua's Hands Update-Aug 2020

The Good news is that Joshua's Hands had a wonderful response to our COVID modified quilting session in June.

The GOOD news is that we had a wonderful response to our COVID modified quilting session in June. People worked at home to make quilt tops and then delivered them to the quilting facility for long arm finishing. We weren't sure what to expect, but the final outcome was 120 beautiful quilts! Since we planned to give the quilts to medical personnel, some people really enjoyed making quilts that were not red/white/blue. This allowed them to use up fabrics from their stash. Many who had learned the basics at prior sessions, honed their skills by working on patterns they had been taught. Our main stays churned out multiples, even stacks of quilts. We were SO BLESSED!

To date we have made more than 2,100 quilts and given them away to Valiant Warriors! What a privilege it is to play a small part in thanking these brave men and women for their service and sacrifices.

Our next quilting session will be held January 15-24 to make quilts for our Valiant Warriors. Mark your calendars! We hope that by then we will be able to gather and make the quilts in a community setting.
