Many adult costume party events are scheduled to be held in Leesburg and in nearby Ashburn and Sterling on the weekend prior to Halloween on Friday Oct. 28 and Saturday, Oct. 29. Here are just a few. • Spanky's Shenanigans Pub, Leesburg, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. costume party with Lost Growlers.

Saturday, Oct. 29
