Kathleen J. Greco, 56

Kathleen J. Greco, 56 of Leesburg, Virginia passed on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, after a brief illness.

Kathy was born Tuesday, January 13, 1959, in Norristown, PA. She was a daughter of the late Robert Shelly and Margaret Shelly.

She was a graduate of Millersville University, and for many years she enjoyed working as an IBM project manager.

She leaves her family to cherish her memory including her mother, Margaret Shelly of PA; her daughters, Andrea Greco of Harrisonburg, VA, and Carolyn and son-in-law Matthew Chrestman of Woodbridge, VA; her brother, Keith Shelly and sister in law Rebecca Piorko-Shelly of PA; 2 grandchildren, Mallory and Nathan Chrestman; and 2 like-daughters, Marlena and Sabrina Kauer of Centreville, VA. She was predeceased by her long-time partner Franc Kauer in 2014.

Kathy loved the outdoors, especially hiking and gardening. She touched many lives as a Girl Scout leader. Kathy was always trying new recipes, and often created handmade gifts for the ones she loved. She had a kind way with animals, especially her cats, Black Cat, Ramona, and Beezus.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle SE, Leesburg, Virginia 20175.
