Plan now to ensure your kids will be "cool" this summer

Plan now to ensure your kids will be “cool” this summer. Registration is open for Ashburn Ice House 2020 summer camps. Since 1998, thousands of kids have learned how to skate, play hockey, improve their skills and stay “cool” at the Ashburn Ice House.

There are a variety of summer camp options:

  • Learn to Skate Fun Camp is offered in the morning, afternoon and all day. Campers will enjoy themed activities and lessons while learning and improving their skating skills. This camp is for beginners to advanced skaters.
  • Relive all the excitement of the Winter Games this summer by coming to the ICE Games Camp. This camp is intended for beginners to intermediate level skaters. Participants will learn a new ice sport each day of the week. From hockey to curling, and “sled” hockey to figure skating. At the end of the week there will be a friendly competition for all friends and family to watch and cheer on their budding athlete.
  • Learn to Skate-USA runs competitions all over the country for all levels of skater. Learn to Compete Camp will teach participants all they need to know about how to get started. This camp is intended for beginners through any level skater who has never competed before. Coaches will separate each skater into similar age groups and levels and help prepare them for a mock competition at the end of the camp. Each skater will have a program prepared for their level, learn what to wear, how to register for future competitions, and what to bring with them when they attend.
  • Next Level Training Camp focuses on power skating and making fundamental improvements to stickhandling, shooting, and passing. It offers hockey players radar gun for measuring shot speed, video analysis of skating and shooting techniques, parachute speed training and more.

The camp schedules and registration are available at ashburnice.com/recreation or call 703-858-0300 for more information.
