The Loudoun County School Board decided to end the public comment section early as the crowd of attendees became increasingly unruly. One person was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after physically threatening another attendee, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Another person was cited with trespassing after failing to leave the area after the assembly of attendees was deemed unlawful.

"Critical race theory is not being taught in our schools, period," School Board Chair Brenda Sheridan said. "Loudoun County is for learners and loud voices aiming to make our schools a political battleground will not silence the work for our students."

"I’m deeply concerned about the rise in hateful messages and violent threats aimed at progressive members of the school board." she said. "We recently saw KKK flyers in Fairfax, our own school board members are receiving graphic threats via email and voice mail."
