Registration Open for Leesburg 5K/20K Aug. 17

The 26th annual Leesburg 5K/20K kicks off Sunday, Aug. 17 with three races for runners of all ages and skill levels.

The 2015 NOVA Plastic Surgery Leesburg 20K/5K will be timed by Commonwealth Race Management. Results will be available immediately after the race and simultaneously posted to www.prraces.com and the event’s Facebook page.

The top three male/female participants in each race will receive $150, $100 and $50, respectively. Both events offer age group award in five-year age groups from 19 and younger to 75 and older. The 5K also includes a category that will recognize all participants who are 14 and younger.

Refueling stations and restrooms will be available with water and Gatorate at various checkpoints along the course. A bag drop will be available at Market Station near registration and free high resolution photos will be available to download from the Potomac River Running Flicker page.

MacDowell Brew Kitchen will open early to serve runners and families for a post-race brunch with drink and meal specials for participants.

Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. at historic Market Station at 203 Harrison Street SE in downtown Leesburg. No registration is necessary or the free kids fun run.

Times:

-20K - 7:30 a.m.

-5K - 7:45 a.m.

-Kids’ fun run - 7:50 a.m.
