Leesburg Airshow 2019: Tickets, Parking, Schedule And More

Here's everything you need to know to attend the 10th annual Leesburg Airshow this weekend.

LEESBURG, VA — The skies will come alive this weekend over the Leesburg Executive Airport for the 10th annual Leesburg Airshow. Each year, the show provides a snapshot of the general aviation world, including aerial demonstrations and educational displays.

This year’s airshow is scheduled Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is a suggested donation of $3 per person and $5 per family. Event attractions include exhibits such as flight training, corporate transportation and emergency rescue operations. In addition, there will be inflatables for the kids and a variety of food vendors.

Exhibits on the ground and food vendors — who will serve up a wide variety of eats including barbecue, gyros, pizza and funnel cakes — open at 11 a.m. At 1 p.m., the main air show starts and features flying circus skydivers, a radio-controlled airplane demo, stunt planes and more.

Aircraft & Performers

In past years, the Leesburg Air Show featured aircraft such as the North American P-51 Mustang and Aviation T-6 Texan, the Grumman TBF Avenger, and the Japanese “Kate” Bomber.

This year’s performers include RJ Gritter, Paul Dougherty, Scott Francis, Mark Meredith, Rob Holland, The Flying Circus and the CAF National Capital Squadron. The performers lineup is subject to change.

Parking

Primary parking locations for the 2019 show will be at Heritage High School, located at 520 Evergreen Mills Rd., and Cornerstone Chapel, located at 650 Battlefield Pkwy. There will be no general parking available at the Leesburg Executive Airport as this lot will be reserved for guests that require handicap accessible options. A DMV-issued permit will need to be displayed in order to access this lot.

Complimentary shuttles will be running continuously from both satellite parking lots from 10:45 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Directions

From points north of Leesburg: Take Route 15 southbound into Leesburg. The road will fork — bear right at the fork, following signs for Leesburg Business. Turn left onto Evergreen Mill Road, and signs for Heritage High School will be on your left.

From points south of Leesburg: Take Route 15 northbound into Leesburg. Turn right onto Evergreen Mill Road, then left onto Battlefield Parkway. Cornerstone Chapel will be located to your left at Battlefield Parkway and Sycolin Road.
