Leesburg Business Awards Ceremony Coming In May
The Town of Leesburg is accepting applications for the 19th annual Leesburg Business Awards through April 1.
LEESBURG, VA — The Town of Leesburg is accepting applications for the 19th annual Leesburg Business Awards through April 1. The awards ceremony will be held on May 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., but the location has yet to be finalized.
Eligible nominees must have a primary physical location of the company, organization, or business entity within the town limits of Leesburg. Businesses must have a Leesburg business license and must be in compliance with all town ordinances. With the exception of the New Business Award, all entities must have been in operation for at least one year.
People nominated for the George C. Marshall Award do not need to live in the town of Leesburg but must be connected to a Leesburg business or organization.

The seven award categories are:
- Community Ambassador Award: Celebrates a business or organization that promotes a positive image of Leesburg as a business location or tourist destination.
- Heritage Award: Celebrates a thriving business or organization that has made a long-term commitment to preserving the integrity and character of Leesburg.
- Innovations Award: Celebrates a business or organization that executes an innovative business venture, unique product development, or other cutting edge business practice.
- New Business Award: Celebrates a new business started between January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2019 that promotes the unique culture of Leesburg while acting as a pioneer in enriching the Town’s future.
- Arts and Culture Award: Celebrates a business, organization, or individual that contributes to or actively supports the arts within the Town of Leesburg.
- Veterans Affairs Award: Celebrates an individual, business, or organization that supports veterans of all conflicts through the practice of exceptional citizenship and leadership.
- The George C. Marshall Award: Celebrates an individual who has demonstrated an exemplary commitment to the community above and beyond business contributions.
