Leesburg Halloween Parade Set for Oct. 31

The 60th annual Leesburg Halloween Parade will be held on Monday evening, Oct. 31, 2016, through downtown Leesburg.

LEESBURG, VA — The 60th annual Leesburg Halloween Parade, hosted and organized by the Leesburg Kiwanis Club, will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016, through downtown Leesburg, according to a Town of Leesburg announcement.

One of the oldest Halloween parades in the eastern United States, the parade will begin at 6:00 p.m., starting in the front field at Ida Lee Park and proceeding down King Street to Fairfax Street.

Parade spectators are encouraged to bring food donations for Loudoun Hunger Relief. Please visit www.loudounhunger.org for a list of most needed items.

King Street will be closed from Battlefield Parkway to Fairfax Street from 5:30 p.m. until approximately 8:00 p.m. for the parade. The street will be reopened once clean-up operations by the Town’s Public Works Department are completed. Motorists should plan on alternate travel routes during this time and follow the designated detours.
