Leesburg Optometrist Arrested for Allegedly Inappropriately Touching Woman: Police

Anyone who may have been inappropriately touched during an eye exam at a Leesburg optometry office is asked to contact the police.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A Leesburg optometrist has been arrested for allegedly inappropriately touching a woman after a routine eye exam, according to a Leesburg Police Department announcement.

Police say that on Oct. 27, 2016, the Leesburg Police Department responded to Visionworks, located at 1607 Village Market Boulevard, Suite 124 in regards to a sexual battery that had occurred. A customer of the business reported that a doctor inappropriately touched her during a routine eye exam.

As a result of the investigation, Joseph F. Rosana, 35, of Sterling, Virginia, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of Sexual Battery. Rosana, who was employed as an optometrist with Visionworks is no longer employed at this location.
