Leesburg Police: Remember to Lock Your Car Doors
The Leesburg Police Department is reminding citizens to lock their car doors and remove or hide their valuable belongings when unattended.

Following an unusually high string of reported larcenies, burglaries and auto thefts last week, the Leesburg Police Department is reminding citizens to lock their vehicles and remove or hide their valuables when leaving their vehicles unattended.
The majority of Leesburg’s reported cases involve an unlocked vehicle in which personal items were left in plain view. The most commonly stolen items include money, prescription medications, electronics, laptops and cell phones.
Leesburg citizens should remember to lock their vehicles even while parked in a garage. Take pictures and record serial numbers of your electronics so law enforcement can use the information to return recovered property to its rightful owners.
