Leesburg Police Seek Public's Help Identifying Man

Do you recognize the person in these photos? The Leesburg Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify him.

LEESBURG, VA — The Leesburg Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to identify a suspicious person who is pictured in these surveillance photos, according to a Leesburg Police Dept. announcement.

Police say that on October 1, 2016 the Leesburg Police Department responded to a suspicious person complaint at a residence in the 1200 block of Tennessee Drive NE. The homeowner received an alert from his home surveillance video that an unknown person was on his porch at approximately 4:00 AM. The suspect in the video tampered with an animal statue that was on the porch and then left the area. The suspect did not appear to have attempted to gain entry to the residence.

The suspect is described as a white male with long brown or red hair and wearing a black or gray short sleeve shirt with a white logo on it and tan cargo pants. He also had his face covered by a white bandana and was wearing a tan hat.

The Leesburg Police Department is asking that anyone who may recognize the suspect in the attached photos to please contact us at 703-771-4500. Callers wishing to remain anonymous can call the Leesburg Crime Line at 703-443-TIPS (8477). The department can also receive information from the public using a program called TIPSUBMIT. Tips about a specific crime or criminal activity can be sent by text, email or smartphone. Simply Text LPDTIP plus your message to 274637.
