Loudoun Board of Supervisors Re-Elects Ralph Buona as Vice Chairman
The Loudoun Board of Supervisors set the 2017 meeting schedule and re-elected Ralph Buona as Vice Chairman at the Board's 1st 2017 meeting.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Ashburn District Supervisor Ralph Buona was been re-elected as Vice Chairman of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, according to a Loudoun County Government announcement. In the absence of Chair Phyllis J. Randall, Buona will perform the duties of the Chair.
Under the rules of order adopted Tuesday during the Board’s first meeting of 2017, the Board’s schedule of meetings will remain unchanged from 2016. The Board will hold its regular business meetings beginning at 5:00 p.m. on:
- First Tuesday of the month
- Thursday during the week following the monthly public hearing
Public input at the Board’s business meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. At the second business meeting of the month, an additional time of public input will be included at the beginning of the agenda.

The Board’s monthly public hearing will be held at 6:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the week following the first business meeting of the month.
The Board also made appointments to regional and county boards and appointed members to the Board’s standing committees: the Finance/ Government Operations and Economic Development Committee, the Joint Board and School Board Committee, and the Transportation and Land Use Committee.

In addition, the Board made adjustments to its meeting schedule due to holiday conflicts. They are:
- July 4 Board business meeting (Independence Day): Move to July 5
- September 21 Board business meeting (Rosh Hashanah): Move to September 20
- November 7 Board business meeting (Election Day): Move to November 8
- November 23 Board business meeting (Thanksgiving): Cancel
Board of Supervisors meetings are held in the Board Room of the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison Street, S.E. in Leesburg. The meetings are available for viewing on television on Comcast Government Channel 23, Open Band Channel 40, and Verizon FiOS Channel 40, and at www.loudoun.gov/webcast.
