Loudoun County Administrator Attains National Platform
Longtime Loudoun county administrator Tim Hemstreet has been elected president of the National Association of County Administrators.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Longtime Loudoun county administrator Tim Hemstreet has been elected president of the National Association of County Administrators (NACA), the county announced in a release. Hemstreet was named president for a two-year term in early July during the annual conference of the National Association of Counties (NACo). He had previously served as president-elect, having been unanimously approved by NACA members for the position in July 2017.
NACA, an affiliate of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), "encourages professional development for county administrators and provides information and resources to its members to improve the management of county government."
As NACA president-elect, Hemstreet — Loudoun's county administrator since 2019 — oversaw NACA's affiliation with the Local Government Hispanic Network and the Alliance for Innovation, and helped develop several programs for NACo and ICMA conferences. As NACA president, his duties will include presiding over meetings of the group, appointing members to committees and task forces and coordinating the development of the annual work plan and budget.
