Loudoun County Spring Farm Tour This Weekend

We have a map and the 90-some participants in the Loudoun County Spring Farm Tour, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA—With our week-long run of soaking rain finally expected to at least abate considerably just in time for the weekend, here's a great way to get back outdoors and get a first-hand look inside around 90 farms throughout the county—including wineries and craft-brewing facilities. It's the Loudoun County Spring Farm Tour, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The free, self-guided tour is an annual affair held annually the third weekend in May (there's a fall version held the third weekend in October). It's held, according to organizers, to serve "as an introduction to Loudoun's growing season (and) to inform consumers of what products are grown and available locally."

So can you just hop in your car and drive around the county looking for participating farms? Well, yes. But a far easier way would be to click here for a copy of the brochure. It details each place on the tour and gives you an idea of what to expect. Copies also are available at county libraries, community centers, the government center in Leesburg and Visit Loudoun.
