Loudoun Features 'National Velvet' In Outdoor Movie Series
The Franklin Park Arts Center will be showing "National Velvet" on Saturday at 8 p.m. as part of its series of outdoor movies.
PURCELLVILLE, VA — Franklin Park and the Franklin Park Arts Center will be showing "National Velvet" on Saturday at 8 p.m. as part of their series of outdoor movies.
Films are projected on the back side of the Franklin Park Arts Center, which is part of the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services. Moviegoers should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets and practice social distancing at the venue.
Water and snacks will be sold at the movie. Moviegoers can also bring their own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Tickets are only $3 and can be purchased online.

Moviegoers aged 10 and older are asked to wear face coverings.
"National Velvet" stars Elizabeth Taylor, an equine-loving 12-year-old living in rural Sussex who becomes the owner of a rambunctious horse. She decides to train the horse for England’s Grand National race. Aided by former jockey Mi Taylor (Mickey Rooney), the determined Velvet gets her horse, called “The Pie,” ready for the big day.
