Loudoun Patch Pet Of the Week: Oreo And Lulu Are The Perfect Pair

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Meet Oreo and Lulu. These two friends are quite the athletic pair. They love climbing up and down cat trees and jumping up on your lap for attention and treats.

Oreo is the first one to say hello and will run right up to you, asking for pets and attention. Lulu likes to observe you from his perch, then slowly and carefully wind his way down to give you gentle headbutts and purrs.

At just 2 and 3 years old, they are still playful kittens and love to pounce on feather wands and test their paws at puzzle toys.

Oreo is an expert at trouble-shooting your tech problems, sitting on your laptop until it shuts down is his specialty. Lulu likes to remind you that catnaps are an important part of life! He loves to snuggle in his cat bed or take a nap in your lap.

Loudoun County Animal Services is open for adoptions Tuesday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors should wear a face covering. The shelter's address is 39820 Charles Town Pike, about a mile west of Paeonian Springs on Route 9.

During the month of August, Loudoun County Animal Services is celebrating "Clear the Shelters." While this is normally a big, one-day event, this year the shelter is celebrating in a more socially distant way.

Each week, LCAS will feature a Pet of the Week for whom LCAS will waive all adoption fees, Two-Fur Tuesday where you can adopt a bonded pair of pets but pay just one adoption fee and Front Line Friday where all Front Line workers get 5o-percent off their adoption fees.
