Loudoun South's Little League World Series Run Ends In 10-0 Loss
Loudoun South lost its Aug. 22 game in the 2019 Little League World Series 10-0, ending the team's run toward a potential U.S. Championship.

WILLIAMSPORT, PA — In a heartbreaking 10-0 loss, Loudoun South's 2019 Little League World Series run came to an end Thursday night. Southwest champion Eastbank from River Ridge, La., defeated Loudoun South after Louisiana's pitcher through a five-inning no-hitter, according to reports.
Louisiana pitcher Mitchell Louque struck out eight and walked one, while throwing 72 pitches in the victory, Inside NoVA reports. Eastbank scored one run in the bottom of the third, seven in the fourth and two in the fifth. Louisiana moves on to play Central East Maui Saturday for the U.S. title.
Loudoun South advanced to play Louisiana in the tournament after Loudoun South was defeated 12-9 Wednesday by Central East Maui from Wailuku, Hawaii — the team's first loss following two no-hitters at the event in Williamsport, Pa.

Loudoun South Little League won two consecutive state championships while coming out of the elimination bracket, and was the first Virginia team to represent the Southeast Region at the Little League World Series in 25 years, according to the Little League World Series.
In earlier Little League World Series play, the team beat Barrington, R.I., 3-0, in its first game. In a blowout against the Midwest, Loudoun South played their second game last Sunday, downing their opponents 11-0.
