Man With Gun Chased Woman, Taken Into Custody: Leesburg Police
A man is in the custody of the Leesburg Police Department after police say he had a firearm and chased a woman around a parking lot.
LEESBURG, VA — A man with a firearm is accused of chasing a woman in a shopping center parking lot on Friday afternoon, authorities said. The armed encounter happened at the Shenandoah Square Shopping Center on Edwards Ferry Road, according to a press release from the Leesburg Police Department.
Leesburg police officers took the man into custody without any further incident. Police say that the man and the woman knew each other.
With the man in custody, there is no further danger to Leesburg residents, according to police.

Criminal charges are pending the conclusion of an investigation by the Leesburg Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
