Purcellville To Offer $600K In Coronavirus Grants To Businesses
The Purcellville Town Council has made more than $600,000 of federal CARES Act funding available for businesses and nonprofit groups.
PURCELLVILLE, VA — The Purcellville Town Council has made more than $600,000 of federal CARES Act funding available for local businesses and nonprofit organizations in the town.
Business Interruption Grants will be offered first by the town, while a local nonprofit grant program will be introduced in early September, the town said Friday.
To be eligible for a Business Interruption Grant, businesses must meet the following criteria:

- Operating from a physical location within the town of Purcellville before March 1.
- Must be current on all town taxes, licenses and permits as of the grant submission date.
- Have no more than hourly or salaried employees.
- Must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 25-percent business interruption or loss in revenue as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
- Have less than $2.5 million in annual gross receipts for the 2018 and 2019 fiscal years
- Home based businesses are eligible to apply
Purcellville is still developing the webpages for the grant programs. Interested businesses should begin compiling information to demonstrate business interruption or loss of revenue as a result of the coronavirus, the town said. The application and additional information will be available on the town's website when the webpages become available.
