The work zone will still shut down the road between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Monday until Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays.
"The vast majority of weekday commuters will now have two-way, morning and evening access
through the work zone," Mayor Vance said. "And, as we enter the tourism season, we are extremely pleased that visitors to the Hillsboro’s area wineries, breweries, restaurants and attractions will have 24-hour, two-way access through town on weekends, beginning each Friday at 2 p.m."
The Charles Town Pike portion of the ReThink9 project is expected to be finished in May, according to a news release. Other parts of the project, including a new postal kiosk and the extensions of water and sewer mains, will continue.
