Traffic Alert: Expect Delays in Loudoun This Weekend

Various homecoming parades, sporting events and festivals may cause some delays in and around Loudoun County this weekend.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is alerting drivers across the county to road closures and potential traffic delays in the area this weekend.

  • Stone Bridge High School homecoming parade held Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. will impact Portsmouth Boulevard and Claiborne Parkway in the area of the school.
  • Dominion High School homecoming parade Friday from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. will impact roads around the school including Sugarland Run Drive, South Cottage Road, Seneca Ridge Drive and Augusta Drive.
  • Morven Park event Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 6:30 a.m. to noon. May cause some delays on Route 15 in the area of Tutt Lane.
  • Evergreen Sportsplex event from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. May cause some delays on Evergreen Mills Road.
  • Parade in Sterling Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. may cause some delays on Sterling Boulevard and Holly Avenue.
  • Event in Sterling on Saturday may cause some delays in the area of Commerce Street and Enterprise Street from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • ADAMS Center event Saturday may cause some delays on Sugarland Run Drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Brambleton Town Center Festival Saturdayfrom noon to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday may cause some delays in the area of Soave Drive, Northstar Boulevard and Olympia Drive.
  • Stone Ridge event on Saturday may cause some delays on Millstream Drive from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Motorists are asked to please be patient, drive safely, follow all law-enforcement direction and have a safe weekend.
