Two New Art Exhibits Opening at Leesburg Town Exhibit Hall

The exhibits feature mixed media displays by students from C. S. Monroe Technology Center and Rock Ridge High School.

From The Leesburg Commission on Public Art: The Leesburg Commission on Public Art is pleased to announce two new art exhibits in the Leesburg Town Hall at 25 West Market Street. Opening receptions for both exhibits will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016.

The exhibit on the first floor of Town Hall is from Pam Smith’s graphic communication classes at C.S. Monroe Technology Center. The mixed media exhibit includes photographs, ink drawings, oils, lithographs, and pastels. The opening reception for the first floor exhibit will be from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Graphic communications is a two-year program offered to 11th and 12th grade students. The program introduces students to the graphic communication industry and provides technical training in design and digital imaging.

The exhibit on the second floor of the Town Hall features mixed media works by students of art teachers Heathre Mills and Christopher Engnoth at Rock Ridge High School, located in Ashburn, Virginia. The art exhibit will be on display through February 2017. The opening reception for the second floor exhibit will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Leesburg Town Exhibit Hall features rotating exhibits by Leesburg and Loudoun artists. Artists interested having their work considered for a future exhibit in the Leesburg Town Exhibit Hall should contact Anne Geiger, staff liaison to the Commission on Public Art, at ageiger@leesburgva.gov.
