Vernon was raised and trained in the Roman Catholic religious tradition, yet really loved listening to Lon Solomon sermons (Pastor of McLean Bible Church) on the rides he took with his son. When asked if he believed and trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior he would unashamedly say yes.
