Vote for Three New Loudoun County Park Names

Loudoun County residents have until Friday, Nov. 21 at 5 p.m. to submit their recommendations for the future names of three new park sites.

The Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services wants your help in naming three new park sites.

The Brambleton East/West park site in Ashburn is located in the Blue Ridge and Dulles election districts. Near the intersection of North Star Boulevard and Belmont Ridge Road, the park is situated on both the east and west sides of Belmont Ridge Road, north of Briar Woods High School. The site west of Belmont Ridge Road includes four full-size and two smaller baseball diamonds. The east site includes two football fields and one soccer field.

The Loudoun Valley park site, also in the Blue Ridge and Dulles election districts, is located in the Loudoun Valley Estates community in Ashburn. The property consists of 131 acres along Broad Run stream valley corridor, with nature trails, open space and interpretive signs.

The C.D. Smith park site, a developer proffer in the Blue Ridge district, is located in the community of Stone Ridge, VA, off Northstar Boulevard, adjacent to John Champe High School. The 14.5-acre property features a permeable trail, meadow, playground, pavilion, pond and parking.

Anyone interested in proposing a name for the new parks can submit the recommendation by email to prcs@loudoun.gov or by mail to Steve Torpy, Director, Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services, at 20145 Ashbrook Place, Ste. 170, Ashburn, VA 20147.
