Betting odds for the 140th running of the Kentucky Derby favor: California Chrome, followed by Hoppertunity, Intense Holiday and Ride on Curlin, then Wicked Strong and Candy Boy with Danza rolling out in fifth.

Virginia Gold Cup Details
The local action Saturday will be at the 89th running of the Virginia Gold Cup steeplechase race at Great Meadow in the Plains.
Organizers regularly expect 50,000 people to gather at Great Meadow to watch World Class horses compete on the lush green course.
Race day features six hurdle and timber horses races, Jack Russell Terrier races, tent, tailgate and hat contests and vendor booths for shopping, according to vagoldcup.com.
Gates open at 10 a.m., with the terrier race exhibition beginning the events at 11:30 a.m. See the complete race day schedule.
