What's Open, Closed For Veterans Day 2020 In Leesburg

Veterans Day falls on Wednesday. Here are the schedule changes to know in Leesburg.

LEESBURG, VA — Veterans Day, a federal holiday to honor those who have served in the military, will mean some schedule changes in Leesburg.

The George C. Marshall International Center will honor veterans of all conflicts at a Nov. 11 event. This year's keynote speaker is Rear Admiral Thomas C. Lynch USN (Ret.). The event is free and open to the public. Due to coronavirus restrictions, reservations are required. Event parking is available at the Loudoun County Government parking garage on Loudoun Street, between Harrison and Church Streets, or at metered/street parking spots in the area. The event address is 217 Edwards Ferry Rd NE in Leesburg.

Town of Leesburg government offices: Closed on Nov. 11

Loudoun County government offices: Closed on Nov. 11.

Loudoun County Public Schools: School instruction will take place on Nov. 11.

County Courts: All Loudoun County courts will be closed Nov. 11.

State Courts: Circuit Court, General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court are closed on Veterans Day.

Libraries: On Nov. 11, all Loudoun County Public Library branches will be closed.

Parks and Recreation: Ida Lee Recreation Center will be open on Nov. 11.

Loudoun County Transit: Loudoun County Transit will operate a significantly reduced schedule on Veterans Day. View Veterans Day service schedules online.

Historic Sites and Museums: The Loudoun County Visitor's Center is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 11.

Post offices: Veterans Day is observed as a holiday at the U.S. Postal Service.

Landfill/Recycling: The Loudoun County landfill on Evergreen Mills Road will be open on Nov. 11.

Trash Collection: There will be no changes to Leesburg's trash and recycling schedule on Nov. 11.
