What's Open, What's Closed In Loudoun On MLK Jr. Day 2020

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County recognizes Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 20, and various government services will have schedule changes. King's birthday is Jan. 15, but the federal holiday honoring the civil rights leader falls on a Monday in January.

We've rounded up schedule changes affecting Loudoun County for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The county has not announced closings for the state Lee-Jackson Day on Friday, Jan. 17, but the holiday impacts state government services.

Loudoun County Government offices: Closed on Jan. 20.

State courts: Circuit Court, General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court are closed Jan. 17 and 20.

Loudoun County Public Schools: Closed Jan. 20.

Loudoun County Public Library: All Loudoun County libraries are closed on Jan. 20.

Parking: In Leesburg, parking will be free in the Town Hall Parking Garage, at the Church Street parking lot, and at all on-street meters.

Ida Lee Park Recreation Center: Open regular hours from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Post offices: Closed Jan. 20.

Loudoun County Transit: Premium Commuter bus service and Metro Connection bus service will not be provided on Jan. 20. Local fixed route bus service will operate on regular schedules.

Trash and recycling: There is no change to the Town of Leesburg's trash collection on Jan. 20.
