After numerous health districts in Virginia moved to phase 1b of coronavirus vaccinations this week, more residents will be eligible in this phase, Gov. Ralph Northam announced Thursday. The expanded eligibility will allow anyone aged 65 and older as well as ages 16 to 64 with a high risk medical condition to get vaccinations.

A Virginia lottery player in McLean won $2 million by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Powerball number in the Jan. 13 drawing. The second prize would have normally won $1 million, but the player spent an extra dollar on Power Play to double the prize.
