Child Sexual Assault Charge Filed Against Taekwondo Teacher
Fairfax County Police charged 22-year-old Rochdi Tibta of Springfield with unlawfully touching a child at a Lorton Taekwondo school.

LORTON, VA — Fairfax County Police detectives from the Major Crimes Bureau Child Abuse Squad arrested a Springfield man Friday in connection with a 2019 sexual assault of a child at a taekwondo school in Lorton, according to a police release.
The juvenile victim recently told police that while attending the after-school program at Kong’s Taekwondo Learning Center in 7744 Gunston Plaza, 22-year-old Rochdi Tibta of Springfield had her sit on his lap and unlawfully touched her on three occasions.
During their investigation, detectives determined that Tibta was a center employee from December 2018 to December 2019. In his role as an instructor, he acted as the sole caretaker for the juveniles on several occasions.

Police charged Tibta on Friday with three counts of aggravated sexual assault. He is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
Detectives ask anyone with information about this case or if they or a family member have had inappropriate contact with Tibta to call the Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800, option 3.
