Fireworks in Lorton: Workhouse Arts Center To Host Independence Day Party
Live music, art exhibits and food trucks will be part of the July 2 celebration.

Celebrate Independence Day with your family at the Workhouse Arts Center on Saturday, July 2, in Lorton. Enjoy art exhibits, food trucks, local craft beer and wine, live music and a spectacular fireworks show!
Live music begins at 7 p.m. and the fireworks start at dusk, typically 9 p.m. Admission is free and you’re welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs; parking is $10. Shuttle service will be provided from the Vulcan Materials lot courtesy of International Limo.

The Workhouse Arts Center is at 9518 Workhouse Way in Lorton, off Route 123 north of Occoquan Regional Park.

5 p.m. - Galleries and artist buildings open. View art in galleries, mix and mingle with artists working in their studios, and enjoy the great summer weather on our beautiful, 55-acre campus. Food trucks and local craft beer, wine and other refreshments will be available at various locations around the quad.
6:30 p.m. - Highlands Dance Demo (Building W-4)
7 p.m. - Mount Vernon Nights concert featuring Peter Mawanga and the Amaravi Movement
8:15 p.m. - PBC Vocal Band
9:15 p.m. - Fireworks! (time is approximate, based on sunset)
Reserve your spot at our VIP Lounge. This reservation includes reserved parking, open bar, hors d’oeuvres, and reserved fireworks viewing area. Take all of the hassle out of your evening!
